Hello, I’m Piyush
I photograph families. Studio in San Bruno, working across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Photography started in college, running the student photographic society — printing in black-and-white, building the first color darkroom we had. One festival week and thousands of frames later, I’d learned the thing I still work from: a photograph outlives the day it was made.
What I care about now is narrower and, I think, more useful. I photograph the milestones that actually mark a life — newborn to senior year, the family gathered in one room, the ceremony with real meaning behind it, whatever tradition it comes from. When grandparents are visiting for a few months, I know that window closes, and that the portrait worth having is the one with four generations in it.
Alongside that, I photograph founders and teams. I run two other businesses myself, so I know exactly what a headshot needs to do for you — and that it’s a business tool, not a vanity shot.

How a session works
Four steps, no surprises

You tell me the occasion
The enquiry form asks for the session type and the date, or the due date if we are waiting on a baby. I reply within one working day with availability and a plain quote.

A deposit holds the date
Then I send you a short prep note: what to wear, where the light is good at that hour, and how to handle a toddler who will not sit still. Read it, or do not, and we will still be fine.

We shoot
Ninety minutes for most sessions, three hours for a newborn because the baby sets the pace, two for a legacy session. I direct enough that nobody has to wonder what to do with their hands.

Your gallery arrives
Ten days, seven for newborns. Fully edited, high resolution, private link, full print release. Print them wherever you like.
